War and Peace

each person is unique
divided from all others
no person will ever be another person
every person has a unique point of view

i can only assume in my mind
that there is existence outside
even if you tell me
without my own mind
there is no reality
neither here
nor in heaven or hell

reality for every person
depends upon what is going on
inside every person's mind

the unwillingness of persons to establish common ground is war
the willingness of persons to establish common ground is peace

Ideologies Order and Good Government

religious or political ideologies that kill
as a means of securing or furthering their goals
are in the natural order
but love which is supernatural
is a higher order
and ultimately governs all



history tells us that George Washington
as righteous a man as he was
loved war

we have other options
and those who are truly free
will choose them

Liberty Torture and Death

those who use torture
as a means of obtaining information
from a person
are responsible for producing hell on earth
those who advocate such practices
are likewise as categorically demonic
as the inquisition or the Gestapo
there is no end to justify this as a means
in the words of Patrick Henry
wise people proclaim with all earnestness sincerity boldness and courage
"Give me liberty or give me death!"

now you say
how can he say these things

answer:
i know my redeemer lives

They Forgot

A man whose local family
dates back to Peter Stuyvesant in New York
said concerning the Vietnamese people

"they've forgotten the war"

What? Who forgot the deaths of over three and a half million
and countless others wounded ... them or us?

Did the Jews forget?

Where God Is

God is found in love joy peace
patience gentleness kindness
meekness faith and self control
and in what is open connected vulnerable and intimate
and is in Heaven

but that which is closed disconnected protective and distant
in pride avarice envy
jealousy lust sloth and intemperance
is in or on its way to Hell

we choose our destiny
that is plain to see
but there are some
who seeing their state of misery
cry out Abba Father save me
and many who cry out are rescued
from the very jaws of damnation
I know and have heard others proclaim
that if anyone call upon the name of Jesus
that person will we saved
I have seen this
I have seen those on their way to Hell
change their minds
bankrupt of any righteousness
and receive the loving embrace of God
and a new life
yes I have seen these things
there is no mystery to me
I know where God lives
there are many gods or goddesses
where are they
and where do they come from
and where do those who worship them go
